Christmas Cards For Our Missionaries:
Encouraging
missionaries who are often separated from their families, country and
friends is one of the most critical roles we play. We can do that at
this time of year by remembering them with a Christmas card. Boxes for
the Missionary cards will be found on the Missions table beginning next
week.
Missionary Christmas Gifts:
There will be a basket
on the Holiday table to collect funds toward Missionary Christmas
gifts. We will be sending monetary gifts to our missionary partners:
The Kleis family, and the James family.
Thanksgiving
Service:
We will celebrate Thanksgiving as a Church Family on Sunday, November
20, at 6 pm. This special service
will include a devotional, corporate praise, prayer and the reading of
the “leaves” from our traditional Thanksgiving
Tree. It will be a blessing for the entire family. Families are
encouraged to bring a pumpkin or apple pie for our
fellowship time after the service. Nursery care will be
provided. Please pray for Scott Aiken who will be teaching
the
Thanksgiving devotional!
Atterdag
Village:
On
Sunday, December 4, at 4 pm, we will minister at the Atterdag
Village. Please pray for Dennis McBride who will be teaching! Our children will be singing in costume. Plan to
bring the whole family.
Youth Christmas

The Junior High and High School kids (College too) will get together at
the Shelly’s for their traditional Christmas Party. More details will
be coming when the time and date is determined.

The ladies
will gather together on, for food, fellowship, prayer and a craft
project. As an outreach, we plan to make Christmas wreaths. More details
will be coming soon, but ladies, mark your calendars. The feedback from
those who received wreaths last year was very encouraging.
Christmas Caroling & Chili:
Sunday, December 11, at 4:30 pm:
We will carpool and sing at the homes of families and
individuals within our Church body. We will then return to
the Church for chili, cornbread, and
Christmas cookies. This is always a fun and memorable time for our church.
Christmas Fellowship Supper: Sunday, December 18, at 6 pm:
We will gather at the Church for a Potluck Supper, and then enjoy a
special Christmas program This has
become a delightful church holiday tradition. Nursery care will be
provided.
Christmas Eve Service: Saturday, December 24:
Once again we share Christmas Eve with Trinity Baptist
Church. The candlelight communion service will be at
Community Church this year at 6 pm.
Nursery care will not be available. We will also encourage the community
to join us for this service.
Please pray!
Christmas Worship Service:
Sunday, December 25, at 10 am:
We will meet
for our annual Christmas Worship celebration. Please pray that many
unbelievers will
respond to
our advertising and attend our service.
Pray also for God’s blessing on the preaching of
His Word – that Christ
will be exalted and that the
gospel will lead sinners to Him in saving faith! |
